My last blog post was posted July 4th, and it is now July 13th, Friday the 13th to be exact. ( Oooo spooky ) We are in Glacier National Park and will be here until the 22nd. The campsite we are in is almost fully surrounded by forest, which is sick, but we also have to be careful and alert for bears. We are in the middle of bear country. Glacier, in my opinion, is the most beautiful park we’ve been to. It’s insanely pretty. The landscape is crazy cool. On July 4th we went to Kalispell, which is a town about 30 minuets from here, to see the 4th of July parade. It was a pretty good parade, and we ended up staying in town for a little while to eat lunch and go to a brewery. That evening, we went to the field in front of the RV park’s office to watch fireworks. We were pleasantly surprised by the show.

The next day, which was a Thursday, we went to the Farmer’s market in Columbia Falls. They had live music, food trucks, crafts, veggies, flowers, and ect. It was great! The band was a high school band that was actually really good, Eleanor and I got mac and cheese that was very delicious, and we also got rolled ice cream, which was weird but good.

On Friday season two of a show I watch came out, and I watched the whole thing, but that doesn’t matter too much. I’ll move on now.
On Saturday, we went into the park, and drove the Going to the Sun road. That road was terrifyingly awesome. We were on the edge of a cliff the whole time, but the views were astonishing. We also went on a marvelous hike.

We started school on Monday, and I know what you’re thinking, “School?? What the heck is wrong with these people??” Yes, school. Our school is pretty flexible, and we may even be done with it by April.
I found that I really enjoy guided hikes, when we went on one, Tuesday.

Our RV park had live music on Wednesday evening. I sat on one of the swinging benches by the pond for some of the show, because I had a lot on my mind, and just needed to write for a while.

Yesterday, Thursday, we went on another guided hike. At one point in the hike, you are in this really dense part of the forest, and I felt as if it was right out of a fairy tale. My mom, Eleanor, and I tried going to the Farmer’s market last night, but it didn’t last long because Eleanor got a migraine.

Today, we went and kayaked on Lake McDonald, and it was prodigious.

Oh! And Say Say is coming to stay with us for three nights next week !!!
See ya later

Another great post, Isabell. We are reading carefully and want to follow your footsteps, maybe next year. Kayaking on Lake McDonald must have been pretty awesome. I’ll send your mom “This Land is Your Land” for the ukulele. Maybe you or Eleanor could play and get the rest to sing it.
Keep writing and enjoy the passage of this time.
