Adventures in Arizona

Hello old friends! What?! Isabell is putting out a blog post?? I know, it’s crazy. As I sit in the  Las Vegas Starbucks drinking a pretty crappy iced mocha, I find myself struggling to remember all that has happened recently. I’ll start with how everyone is doing. My parents are pretty good! My mom is currently yapping along with Stephanie Brown, her good friend whom we all love dearly. Oliver and Eleanor are great. They are still bringing chaos wherever they go. I, myself, am okay. Recently I’ve been missing my people back home, but overall I am doing swell.

I last left you in Moab, UT. After leaving the fun town, we went into Colorado to stay in Cortez. We had a little down time in Cortez focusing on schoolwork. One day we went on a train ride. The total time we spent on that train was 8 hours. It was a ton of fun even if  I was freezing the whole time. I drank way too much hot chocolate and was very infatuated with a cute boy on the train, my mom was seriously teasing me about that one. While in Cortez we also went to Mesa Verde to the cliff-dwelling Pueblos. It was really cool!!

From Cortez we traveled to Kaibab, AZ. I loved our stay in Arizona. We did lots of hiking at the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion NP. Zion was, for sure, my favorite out of the three. One day, while we were at the Grand Canyon, it snowed. The ground and trees were all covered, personally I liked just looking at it as I’m not a fan of snow. Eleanor, Oliver, and our dogs really enjoyed it. The one day went spent in Bryce was nice. We did one good hike that really wore me out, but the view was breathtaking. We also went to Antelope Canyon, where our Navajo guide gave us an awesome demonstration on the formation of the canyon. Walking on the Coral Pink Sand Dunes made me feel as if I was in the newest Maze Runner movie. Zion, like I said, was my favorite. We did a few different hikes in the park. They were delightful. We also had some good food during our stay in Arizona.

We are now in the grand town of Las Vegas, Nevada. This place is intense and now I know why they call it Sin City. We spent our Halloween night roaming the strip, it was very interesting, but I had a lot of fun. Vegas is the type of place you can’t stay at for too long or you may go crazy. Some street dancer flipped over me the other night, that was cool. Hope you have a marvelous day.
